So this past weekend has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time (well the parts that I remember anyways) however my only regret was blacking out and being belligerent drunk on Friday night. Those that have known me for a while know that I’m calm, cool, and collected but alcohol turns me, Dr. Jeckyl, into Mr. Hyde. In my drunken stupor I tried fighting everyone at the bar and I got puke on a pretty friend on the cab ride home (Which I’m still kicking myself 3-4 days after the fact). Moral of this story, don’t black out and have some self control.

Pick Ups: Visvim Double Tone FBT…..not. (thanks yoox USA for sucking so much)

So I found a pair of Visvim Double Tone FBT’s from YOOX.com the other day for a crazy good price. I was so excited to find a pair at this price point plus its exactly what I had been looking for. I receive the package yesterday and it’s like Christmas morning for me. The shoe itself is beautiful and i start putting the side skirts for the shoe to complete its awesomeness. As I am tying the skirts on, I notice I received 2 left side skirts. This isn’t a big deal so I call yoox.com and they pretty much tell me that they can’t replace the accessory even though it was their fault that I received a faulty item. I offer to ship the shoe back to them and so they can put in the right skirt themselves. DENIED. If you know anything about Visvim, you know that things only come out every once in a while and to be able to find it at that price is very rare. So now I’m pissed and going to return the shoe back to them. YOOX FAIL.

***Cliff Notes version: Got shoes I really wanted for cheap, they shipped me two left shoe accessories instead of one right one left, and then refused to fix the problem. So I’m returning it. Fucking assholes.

Just Ordered: Nike Huarache Bursts and Corter Leather Belt

Just ordered a pair of BRed (black red) Nike Huarache Bursts. I have a love for retro running shoes and Huarache Bursts are definitely one my favorites (as well as Huaraches, Air Max 1’s and 90’s).

Also ordered a Tan leather belt from Corter Leather. Great quality belts that age with time and wear. I love wearing in my own clothing and I love when the item shows some authenticity (raw denim, beating up sneakers, and now belts). Quality > quantity.

FINALLY, I was able to get my hands on the jacket I wanted so much (brand new without paying full price) and I can not be more ecstatic. Everything about it is top notch, from the packaging to the small pouch located in the sleeve that allows you to pack the entire jacket into it. The double billed hood is beefy and ninja like plus you can’t beat the badass Stormtrooper color theme. Enough babbling, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Those that are wondering how to size the jacket, here are the measurements for a medium:
Pit to Pit (Chest): ~54cm (22in)
Collar to Bottom (Front): ~71.5cm (28 in)

Search Party: Nike Sportswear Varisty Jacket

The Varisty jacket reminds me of my football days in high school and has always given me a nostalgic feeling.  Always thought they were pretty interesting and a great piece for the colder seasons with great versatility; you can wear it with a nice button down and chinos or a blank tee and some jeans. I’ve been wanting a Varsity jacket for a bit but just haven’t been able to find the right styling and one with cool details until Highsnobiety posted the new Nike Sportswear (NSW) Fall 09 collection. I love white sleeves with the black main body as well as the red chest zipper. I’m a sucker for the white/black/red contrasts and this jacket just popped for me. Can’t wait to see it in person.
